Ithell Colquhoun, a radical British Surrealist of the 1930s and 1940s, was an innovative artist, writer, and practicing occultist. She explored unconscious creativity, myth, and magic. Her work delved into divine feminine power as a means of personal and societal transformation, drawing inspiration from Cornwall's ancient landscape and Celtic traditions. This landmark exhibition showcases over 200 works, tracing her journey from early Surrealist influences to her exploration of art, sexual identity, ecology, and occultism, culminating in her masterful interpretation of the Tarot deck.
