Today Artsper has the opportunity to sit down with Marion Dupuch-Rambert, a leading figure in the art world whose expertise bridges market insight and heritage management. We had the pleasure of meeting her during the Podcast en Direct du Marché de l'Art, where we were honored guests. Today, Marion joins us to share more about her journey, the inspiration behind her new project Coach 4 Arts, and the valuable insights she brings to the art community.
Meet Marion Dupuch-Rambert
Marion Dupuch-Rambert, with a background in economics and economic intelligence, has solid expertise in strategic information management and talent development. After an international career, she founded her own consulting firm in 2003, specializing in Talent & Acquisition Management.
In 2014, following a transformative journey through Africa, she decided to redirect her career toward the art market, combining her long-standing passion with her professional skills. She went on to earn an Executive Master and a University Diploma in Art Law and Expertise from Panthéon-Assas University. In 2015, she founded GoBetween Art Agency, a consultancy dedicated to art collection management.
For nearly ten years, she has supported collectors and art lovers in acquiring, managing, and passing on their collections. In 2020, she launched the podcast “En direct du marché de l’art”, and since 2021, she has been teaching at the Sorbonne as part of the Master’s program “Expertise and Art Market,” helping to train the next generation of art professionals.
Coach4Arts: learn the art market
Coach4Arts is a new online, on-demand coaching offer designed to help people learn about the art market.
The idea came to me over a year ago when I was remotely supporting a young visual artist organizing a performance at Christie’s in London. We had several phone calls to clarify what she wanted to highlight during the event, and then we debriefed about the outcomes and how it impacted her budding career. She wanted to be supported by an independent art market professional, in her words—and I really enjoyed our conversations. They echoed my earlier professional life when I used to coach executives remotely or online. As with every career pivot I've made, it was this meaningful opportunity that inspired me...
Initially, Marion designed Coach4Arts specifically for artists, drawing on a decade of experience supporting collectors in building and managing private collections, as well as three years of training new professionals in the art market. Her goal was to create a digital, on-demand solution that would serve as a bridge for emerging artists entering the art world.
After testing the concept with contemporary artists, she expanded the offer to a wider audience, recognizing the recurring need for guidance on topics such as market regulations, copyright, and the promotion and sale of artworks. Following its launch on Instagram—a platform widely used by visual artists—the initiative began attracting interest from collectors and art enthusiasts seeking support in acquiring and managing artworks. In response to this growing demand, she began adapting the offer to address the needs of this broader audience.
Now I’m thrilled to announce, exclusively, the launch of the second phase of Coach4Arts, starting April 28, this time open to all Art Lovers!
Coach4Arts primarily supports artists in their careers by providing targeted knowledge on the regulations and practices of the art market. The initiative addresses key moments in an artist’s professional journey, such as exhibition planning, applying for residencies, grants, or awards, and identifying effective channels for promoting and selling their work.
For art lovers, the most common inquiries relate to legal, tax, or regulatory matters surrounding the acquisition, sale, or inheritance of artworks. These topics are well-suited to the online, on-demand coaching format. However, when more personalized guidance is required—particularly in sourcing and selecting artworks— clients are referred to her agency, GoBetween Art Agency, as this type of advisory service is best conducted in person.
Coach4Arts: Mission and Vision
Coach4Arts offers a blend of targeted learning and personalized solutions. Recognizing that new generations of artists and art enthusiasts—millennials and Gen Z—live hyper-connected, on-demand lifestyles, Marion developed an online coaching model designed to match these habits. Accessible via Instagram and bookable in just one click, the format meets the expectations of a digitally native audience engaging with the art market through their smartphones.
By choosing the motto Because the art market can be learned! for Coach4Arts, I wanted to say two things: first, the art market is a professional, economic sector like any other—but also very specific, with its own codes, rituals, professional practices, regulations, and mechanisms for the promotion and sale of artworks. Second, whether you’re an artist or an art lover, if you want to participate effectively or professionally, you can (and should) be trained—especially because of how unique this market is. And that access to training should be available to all.
Working professionally in the art market—as a gallerist, auction house, expert, advisor, or especially as an artist—requires a solid, multidisciplinary foundation. Coach4Arts, beyond offering targeted solutions, also provides long-term support in learning the essential skills.
A personal advice to young artists
As a child and teenager living in Ivory Coast, she had the opportunity to attend an exhibition in 1986 at the French Institute in Abidjan, where she encountered a young artist whose work stood out as entirely unique. Curious about his inspiration, she approached him. Initially shy, he gradually opened up, speaking about one of the pieces on display. It was then that he revealed he was from New York and that, although his name had a French resonance, it reflected his Haitian—and by extension, African—heritage. The artist was Jean-Michel Basquiat, who had been invited by the Institute to exhibit in Africa for the first—and ultimately only—time, as a way to reconnect with both a new audience and his cultural roots. The rest, as history shows, became a defining chapter in contemporary art.
So to any young artist wondering how to find their place in 2025: we’re no longer in Van Gogh’s time or the Renaissance, where survival depended on elite academic networks, patrons, and scholars. The art market today is open—always. Understanding how it works is key to finding your place and the right platform to showcase your work.
Her final recommendation: let your work be seen everywhere, all the time—regardless of rarity or uniqueness. That’s how you’ll find your audience, and eventually, your art “lover”.
