The demand for street and pop art by our collectors has steadily remained consistent in this period, with purchases of artworks by renowned artists like Banksy, Kaws, Mr Brainwash, Shepard Fairey (Obey) amongst others. Artworks by Banksy, who was the top artist by the value of works sold (excluding prints) between 2018 - 2022, accounting for $205 million in auction sales in the British Contemporary art market.

Paintings

At Artsper, paintings are the highest selling genre of art in volume and value, with a share of 30%. Moderne Art fair

The art market once again converged in October at the Grand Palais Éphémère, Paris for an exciting edition of Paris+, hosted by Art Basel. With 156 exhibitors from 61 prestigious French galleries like Perrotin, and Xippas Gallery to name a few, the art fair delivered a show specific to the Parisian art scene bursting with the vigor and dynamism that contemporary art is celebrated for.
