Art Paris x Artsper: a curated online collection

March 28, 2024

This year, Artsper takes a significant step forward by partnering with Art Paris 2024 to create a carefully curated online collection with participating partner galleries. Among them, galleries like Nil Gallery, Koren Gallery, Galerie Michel Rein and Galerie Valerie Delaunay seize the chance to showcase and promote their diverse catalog to a worldwide audience, reaffirming their dedication to an active and inclusive art market through the Artsper marketplace.

Prior to delving into the intricacies of the exclusive collaboration between Artsper and Art Paris, let us commence with an introduction to this year's fair edition and the anticipated highlights.

Art Paris : the contemporary art fair of the year

Art Paris, the essential springtime event in Paris, is preparing to host its 26th edition, from April 4 to 7, 2024, at the Grand Palais Éphémère. Following the resounding success of last year's anniversary edition, which attracted a record 81,857 visitors, the excitement is palpable for this new edition. With 136 galleries from 25 different countries, the event promises a rich and diverse artistic experience.

In 2023, there was considerable media interest, with 600 journalists accredited. In addition, a significant 15% increase in professional visits was recorded, testifying to the growing importance of Art Paris in the contemporary art world.

This year, Art Paris focuses on artistic discovery, highlighting the young French scene. The "Promesses" sector, dedicated to young galleries operating less than six years, offers a forward-looking view at the avant-garde of contemporary art. With the fair covering 45% of participation costs, this dynamic sector welcomes nine galleries, enabling the discovery of new emerging talents. A further emphasis will be placed on "Solo Shows", i.e. monographic exhibitions scattered throughout the fair.

The crucial role of Artsper at contemporary art fairs

At the heart of this partnership lies the creation of a virtual collection, featuring the works of participating partners galleries at Art Paris. This initiative transcends the physical boundaries of the fair, offering art lovers around the world privileged access to the exhibited works at the fair. By integrating this online collection, Artsper broadens its reach and fulfills its mission to make art accessible to all, while reinforcing the visibility and sales opportunities of partner galleries in an art market that is constantly evolving towards the digital. The partnership will be furthermore marketed via a combined communication campaign.

The combined visibility of Europe’s leading art platform and one of the most important art fairs on the Parisian fair schedule will enable us to reach an ever-growing audience. The relationship of trust that Artsper has built up over the years will be called upon to break down the physical barriers of the edition : on Artsper, collectors will be able to the collection via a dedicated homepage slider and a link in the mega menu, called Art Paris 2024.

We're also delighted to see trusted galleries already partnering with Artsper to bridge the gap with Art Paris. Between the walls of the Grand Palais Ephémère, you'll find works by Galerie Perrotin, Galerie Lelong and many more. These works will be given prime visibility in the collection, to be found on Artsper. These works are brought to the fore in the collection, which can be found on Artsper.

Joining Artsper's dynamic network of over 2,000 partner galleries represents an invaluable opportunity for galleries participating in Art Paris, strengthening their credibility and influence in the digital contemporary art world.
